Experts to Discuss Future of Manufacturing and Technology on March 2 Experts to Discuss Future of Manufacturing and Technology on March 2 Experts to Discuss Future of Manufacturing and Technology on March 2On March 2, the National Academy of Engineering will release its new report, Making Value for America Embracing the Future of Manufacturing, Technology, and Work, at a special forum the academy will convene in Washington, D.C. A live webcast of the event will be available for viewing on the NAE website the day of the meeting. The forum, to take place from 200 p.m. to 500 p.m. at the National Academy of Sciences Building, will feature a distinguished group of thought leaders in industry and academia discussing details of the new study, which addresses the challenges and opportunities that are reshaping manufacturing, neuheit and the job market in the United States. During the meeting, Nick Donofrio, chair of the studys committee and former executive vice president for Innovation and Technology at IBM, will lead a panel of experts who will discuss critically important actions for businesses, governments and education institutions to ensure that the United States thrives amid global economic changes and remains a leading environment for innovation. Confirmed panel members for the special event include Steve Hoover, chief executive officer of Palo Alto Research Center Theresa Kotanchek, CEO of Evolved Analytics Arun Majumdar, the Jay Precourt Professor and Senior Fellow, Precourt Institute for Energy, Stanford University Chad Syverson, the .
